Biodiversity
The health and resilience of nature and its biodiversity are important basic conditions for the well-being and resilience of society, the economy and infrastructure. This also applies to Swissgrid’s extra-high-voltage grid: its resilience is protected more effectively against flooding and other extreme weather-related events by an intact ecosystem. As the operator of a national infrastructure, Swissgrid takes its duty to preserve biodiversity seriously as part of its legal and social responsibility.
